A. Exercises

IVAO-TR FOD is exercise the following functions;
A) Collection, evaluation, preparation and publication of information necessary for the safe, regular and efficient conduct of flights,
B) Preparing of Flight Plans
C) Pre-flight information service (Briefing)
D) Production and publication of aeronautical charts,

B. Area of responsibility

IVAO-TR FOD is responsible for the collection and dissemination of information for the entire territory and territorial waters of the state and for airspace over the high seas in which Turkey exercise its FIR
responsibility.

 COMMUNICATIONS PROCEDURES IN TURKISH AIRSPACE
An aircraft flown as a controlled flight shall maintain continuous listening watch on the appropriate radio frequency of, and establish two-way communications or text messages as necessary with the appropriate air traffic control unit. If unable,communications shall be established with the aeronautical station involved who will relay the message to the responsible staff units of IVAO 

 An IFR flight operating outside controlled airspace shall maintain UNICOM 122.800 radio frequency and establish two-way communication as necessary with the apropriate ATS unit.

East direction use Even altitude.(FL210,FL250,FL310 etc.) West direction use Odd altitude.(FL220,FL280,FL320 etc.) P.S:If you use G8 airway , you must use opposite of standart RVSM because of relations between Greece(Atina FIR) and Turkey(Istanbul FIR).If you are flying LTBA to LTBJ you must use EVEN FL/alt.Flying LTBJ to LTBA use ODD FL/alt.

Position Reports

In the absence of designated reporting points for aircraft on IFR position reports shall be made 30 minutes after take off and there after at intervals of one hour, unless additional position reports are requested by the appropriate ATS unit. If the pilot is flying without an ATC controller, He/She have to report to UNICOM 122.800 via text.A position report shall be transmitted when entering or leaving Turkish airspace, from IFR aircraft if the responsible Center sector is online
